Dr Camilla Holt - General Practitioner

About Me

I am an FRACGP qualified General Practitioner working in Ryde, Sydney.

MBBS (UQ), Dip. of Child Health (USyd), Bachelor of Liberal Studies (USyd), FRACGP

I completed my medical degree at the University of Queensland and moved back to Sydney to complete my internship and residency at Nepean hospital. I have been working in General Practice since 2016 initially working in western Sydney before moving to Maxim Street in West Ryde in 2019. I have been a fellow of the RACGP since 2020. Prior to going into medicine I worked as a research assistant at Sydney IVF (now Genea).

I aim to provide up to date evidence based holistic care for my patients and practice a slow, supportive, non-judgemental style of medicine. I enjoy the privilege of being able to treat people through all stages of life, helping them navigate through both the joys and challenges which it can bring.

When not at work you can find me with with my family. I am mum to three girls and like all parents I spend most of my time taking them to various activities!

All Chronic Disease Management Plans and 75+ Health assessments incur no out of pocket cost.

Some procedures incur additional costs:

Implanon - please make an initial standard (15 Minute) appointment for planning and organising prescription

  • insertion $150 (+ $80 initial 15 minutes planning appointment)

  • replacement or removal $200 (+ $80 initial 15 minutes planning appointment)

Skin lesion removals - vary depending on many factors such as what part of the body it is removed from please make an initial 15 minute consult to discuss.

I am a fulling private billing doctor. What does this mean?

Bulk billing consultations are unavailable. An out-of-pocket fee will apply to all patients including children, healthcare card and pension card holders.

How long should I book for?

If you have one issue to discuss then a standard 15 minute appointment should be sufficient. All new patients should book for 30 minutes so I can get to know you and your history as well as addressing your concern. For any Menopause, cervical screening or new pregnancy consult these are more complex and should be booked as 30 minutes. Childhood immunsations should be booked as 30 minutes and for 6 week immunisation if you have questions about sleep, breastfeeding or you have not had a follow up for yourself post delivery please book a 15 minute consult for yourself (remember to care for yourself too!). All mental health care plans need to be 30 minutes.

How is the billing calculated?

While I try to keep the billing as simple and standardised as possible the rules around your Medicare Rebate are anything but. This means that some consults are time based and some are fee for service, so sometimes the up front cost is different to what you expect. I try to keep the out of pocket cost as consistent as possible to the above guidelines.
